Darts 101, or Fabric May Not Be Metal but It Still Needs to be Beaten Into Shape

Our old friend Isabela is my guinea pig for today’s onslaught of learning, as well as several sheets of laser paper. May they rest in peace.

DIY Easy Draped Chain Headpiece Tutorial from Minted Strawberry here. The only difficult thing about this tutorial is that a drill was used for the holes in the wooden stars. You could use a cluster of beads instead including the dangling one. For 4 pages of DIY headpieces go here: truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/headpiece

Because chemicals hurt you (and your pets) insides. Add orange peels (or any citrus peel) to a quart of white vinegar in a closed container and let it set for two weeks. Then you just strain it, add water to the solution until it’s about 50/50 and put it a seal-able bottle. It works great on floors, tiles, fixtures, kitchen and bath, etc. It’s antibacterial, smells good and it’s tough on dirt and grease. Best of all, there are no harmful chemicals

And cheap. Yeah, I like the cheap part. And not having to worry about buying from corporations whose ethics are questionable. Yes, this will come in handy.

Squirrel made from a glove

The tutorial and my attempt at it. I decided not to add the eyes and nose because I like it as it is.

I had a lot of fun doing it, and am rather proud of the outcome since I’m not used to sewing.
